Memorial management group blamed for balcony fall

A Harris County man is suing over claims he suffered injuries when he fell from the balcony of a second-floor apartment in Memorial.
Marqus Sirls filed a lawsuit on Jan. 20 in Harris County District Court against JRK – Richmond Chase, JRK Residential Group, Houston Northland and Jennifer Loesch Will, citing negligence.
Sirls says on June 17, 2011, he suffered injuries when he fell from a Richmond Chase Apartment balcony, located at 8165 Richmond Ave. According to the brief, a rotted railing connected to the balcony of a second-floor apartment gave way as Sirls emptied a bucket of water.
Sirls is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney M. Andrew Seerden.
