A pedestrian died when he was run down by a car in a hit-and-run collision in southwest Houston early Wednesday morning.
The collision occurred at 3600 W. Fuqua near Buffalo Speedway about 2:15 a.m., according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said the victim, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Police said the man was walking in or along West Fuqua when he was hit by a white Honda. The driver appeared to stop to look at the damage to his car, police said, but then drove away.
