Fatal Accident At NE Houston Warehouse

A worker died in an apparent industrial accident when an object fell from a railroad car and hit him at a steel warehouse in northeast Houston Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred at the warehouse in the 9300 block of Ley Road near Verde about 9 a.m., according to the Houston Fire Department. Fire officials said the man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead about 15 minutes later. Something fell off a railcar and hit the man, and fire officials said they believe the mishap was an accident.

No other information was immediately available.
