Accident with 18-wheeler – Insurance policy minimums must increase
We need your help to protect yourself and the people you love in case you ever get in accident with an 18-wheeler. Trucking insurance limits have not been increased since 1980. When truck collision victims are catastrophically injured or killed, there simply is not enough money to replace wages or pay for medical care. Not only is this a tragedy for the victim of truck crashes, but it puts a burden on already overburdened federal programs like Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has published its Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) seeking comments to help craft a rule to increase the minimum insurance limits for motor carriers. If you or a loved one, ever have an accident with an 18-wheeler, this can have a big impact on what you may be entitled to for compensation and damages. If you drive a motor vehicle in the United States, this may be the most important task for you this week. THE DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 26.
We need you to take ACTION:
1) Send a comment to the FMCSA. You can find a link to do this and a suggested outline below.
