While working at a restaurant, our client was asked to retrieve items from an attic area on the premises which did not have a built-in structure to allow for regular access. Instructed to use a ladder to gain access, our client climbed nearly to the top until it fell. She landed hard on the floor and suffered serious injuries requiring surgical intervention.
