The incident happened on the premises of an apartment complex, where Plaintiff’s brother was a resident. Plaintiff was on the property picking up his brothers, who were residents of the apartment, to go to work together. After parking his vehicle, and allowing his brothers to enter the vehicle, two unknown individuals began speaking to Plaintiff and the passengers. The unknown individuals pointed a gun and asked for money from Plaintiff and his brothers. One of the unknown assailants then shot at Plaintiff through the passenger window. Plaintiff then got out of the vehicle to attempt to flee the scene and was shot again. After the shooting, the police were dispatched to the scene and Plaintiff was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
